Los Angeles Clippers player Terance Mann will undergo surgery on Tuesday to repair a fractured left middle finger, an injury sustained during the Clippers’ victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Mann is expected to be sidelined for at least three weeks following the procedure, as the Clippers continue their surprising run in the Western Conference.

This season has been challenging for Mann, whose production and efficiency have both taken a hit. The 6-foot-5 swingman, known for his energy and versatility, has seen his shooting percentages decline.

After connecting on over 51% of his shots in each of the last two seasons, his accuracy has dropped to 44% this year, along with a career-low 34% from three-point range.

This slump has contributed to a reduction in scoring, as his average has fallen from 8.8 points per game last season to 6.3 points per game.

Mann has been a key piece in head coach Tyronn Lue’s lineup, alternating between starting and coming off the bench. Despite his struggles, he remains a valuable contributor due to his defense, athleticism, and ability to impact the game in various ways.

With Mann now sidelined, the Clippers will likely need to rely more heavily on their depth as they aim to maintain their momentum in a competitive conference.
