Phoenix Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer recently explained the importance of Kevin Durant’s defense/weak-side rim protection (averaging 1.5 BPG).

“He is very much appreciated for what he brings on the defensive end and what he brings as a MIG (Most Important Guy) or a safety. The most important guy on the ball, the safety behind it. Those things are all important. Kevin’s really good for us there.”
