Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson was involved in a minor traffic incident while in Houston on Thursday.
The accident occurred when Henderson’s ride-share vehicle was rear-ended. Fortunately, the second-year guard did not sustain any injuries or adverse effects from the collision and is reportedly doing fine.
Henderson, however, remains sidelined due to an unrelated back strain, which has kept him out of action recently. As a result, he will not play in Saturday’s game against the Houston Rockets.
The team has listed him as day-to-day moving forward, with his availability depending on how his back responds to treatment and recovery.
While the accident caused no physical harm, the Trail Blazers will continue to monitor Henderson’s health closely as they aim to get the promising young guard back on the court as soon as possible.
