The Chicago Bulls secured a 122-112 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Monday, fueled by a late-game explosion from Zach LaVine. The win pushed the Bulls to 6-9 on the season, while Detroit fell to 7-9.

LaVine scored 16 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter, breaking open a game that was tied at 95 with just under nine minutes left. He sparked a 13-2 run with nine points, including five three-pointers, to give Chicago an 11-point lead with 5:45 remaining.

Nikola Vucevic led the Bulls with 29 points and 12 rebounds, showing efficiency on 11-of-18 shooting, including six three-pointers. Coby White also played a pivotal role, matching LaVine with 25 points while contributing four assists.

The Pistons kept the game close early, thanks to a strong performance from Cade Cunningham. He tallied 26 points and 10 assists, while Malik Beasley added 21 points off the bench.

Despite their efforts, Detroit couldn’t match Chicago’s three-point shooting efficiency in the final quarter.

The Bulls hit 50% of their three-pointers, going 23-for-46, with seven triples coming in the fourth quarter. Detroit struggled to defend the perimeter, allowing the Bulls to exploit open looks and gain momentum late in the game.

Detroit also dominated the glass, grabbing 16 offensive rebounds, including 12 from Jalen Duren, who posted a double-double with 15 points and 22 rebounds.

However, their inability to capitalize on second-chance opportunities and a 34% shooting night from beyond the arc hampered their chances.

The Bulls relied heavily on their starters, but their bench contributed critical minutes. Ayo Dosunmu scored nine points, and Julian Phillips added five, helping Chicago maintain their lead during pivotal stretches.

Detroit’s bench also made an impact, with Isaiah Stewart and Simone Fontecchio combining for 13 points. However, the Pistons couldn’t overcome their inconsistent shooting and defensive lapses in the fourth quarter.
