The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed Branden Carlson to a one-year standard NBA deal, as confirmed by NBA insider Michael Scotto.

The 7-foot center, known for his shot-blocking ability, fills a key need for frontcourt depth on the Thunder roster.

Carlson, who holds the all-time shot-blocking record at the University of Utah, went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft but has since proven his potential.

Initially signing a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors in July, Carlson was waived on October 19 before briefly joining Raptors 905 in the NBA G League.

During his stint with Raptors 905, Carlson showcased his skills across three games. He averaged 14.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 3 assists in 31.6 minutes per contest.
