Veteran forward Kevin Love is set to make his season debut as the Miami Heat prepare to face the Sacramento Kings. After missing the first five games due to personal reasons, the 36-year-old is expected to return to the lineup, aiming to strengthen the Heat’s frontcourt presence.
Anthony Chiang reported that both Love and teammate Duncan Robinson are anticipated to be available for the upcoming game. The only Heat players sidelined are Josh Christopher and Keshad Johnson, both on G League assignments. Robinson missed Miami’s recent win in Mexico City due to personal reasons, but he’s also expected back alongside Love.
Love’s potential return adds depth and experience to a Miami team currently standing at 3-2. Known for his rebounding and three-point shooting, Love averaged 8.8 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 16.8 minutes per game last season.
The Heat have been relying on Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro to lead the offense, but adding Love’s veteran skill set provides additional options on both ends of the court.
