Washington Wizards guard Jordan Poole is excited to help this young group grow as a leader.

Reporter: “Did you try to bring some of the championship DNA to the team like in Golden State now you’re here?”
Poole: “Yeah. That’s what the front office wants me to do, that’s what the coaching staff wants me to do, because I know what it takes to play at a high level, I know what it takes to play championship winning basketball. That’s something that is built over time. That’s something that you build with the foundation. We’re in that situation right now with the young guys: figuring out how to play the right defense, how to play possession by possession, how to combat a run if another team goes on. So, it’s the small things that’s a game within a game that we need to learn and that we’ve been focusing on. Over the course of the next couple years: guys are gonna get more confident, and I think we’ll be in a really good position.”
