Former NBA guard Jordan McRae has signed with Italian club Givova Scafati, as reported by Sportando. McRae, a versatile scorer and playmaker, brings extensive experience to the Italian league, having played 123 games in the NBA over his career.
Originally a second-round pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, McRae made his mark with stints on several teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, and Washington Wizards.
A significant highlight of McRae’s NBA career came in 2016 when he was part of the Cavaliers’ championship roster. That team famously overcame a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals to defeat the Golden State Warriors.
McRae saw his strongest individual performances from 2018 to 2020 while playing for the Washington Wizards, where he averaged 9.5 points and 2.0 assists over 56 games, including four starts, proving himself as a reliable offensive contributor.
McRae’s move to Givova Scafati offers the Italian team an experienced scorer with a strong NBA background and championship pedigree.
His time in the NBA and his scoring ability will be valuable assets as he joins the competitive Italian basketball league and looks to make an impact on his new team.
