Former NBA point guard Chris Chiozza has officially joined Manisa Basket in Turkey, according to a team announcement on Twitter.
This move marks a new chapter in Chiozza’s career after a season with Spain’s Baskonia and a previous stint in the G League with the Long Island Nets in 2022/23.
Chiozza, 28, began his journey to the NBA after going undrafted in 2018 out of the University of Florida, where he made a name as a dynamic playmaker.
His professional career kicked off in 2019 with a 10-day contract from the Houston Rockets, which led to a roster spot for the rest of the season.
Though he was eventually waived, Chiozza continued to build his NBA presence with two-way contracts across several teams, including the Washington Wizards, Brooklyn Nets, and Golden State Warriors.
His most notable NBA season came in 2019-20 with Brooklyn, where he averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 assists, and contributed significantly over 18 games, two of which he started.
Over his four-year NBA career, Chiozza has compiled averages of 3.3 points and 2.4 assists across 91 games. His last NBA appearance came during the 2021/22 season with the Golden State Warriors.
As he joins Manisa Basket, Chiozza brings international experience and veteran leadership to the Turkish league, looking to make a substantial impact with his new team.
