While the Phoenix Suns fell short in their matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, they received a promising performance from rookie Ryan Dunn.

Recognized primarily for his defensive skills during his time at Virginia, Dunthe player surprised many by hitting three of his five three-point attempts, finishing with a plus-8 rating in just 14 minutes of play.

His development as a shooter has come through “a lot of hard work,” Dunn shared in a comprehensive interview with Mark Medina of Sportskeeda.

I keep having the confidence to keep shooting it even when some nights it might not fall and some nights that it might fall,” Dunn explained, highlighting his determination to improve despite the inevitable ups and downs of shooting.

In the interview, he also reflected on his first impressions of the NBA, shared experiences of meeting some of his basketball idols, and discussed his aspirations for his rookie season.

Dunn’s ability to contribute offensively alongside his defensive prowess could prove to be invaluable for the Suns as they navigate the early part of the season.

His confidence in his shooting ability, combined with his hard work, positions him as a key player to watch as he continues to adjust to the professional level.
