The Oklahoma City Thunder have exercised their fourth-year contract options on forward/center Chet Holmgren, forward Ousmane Dieng, and guard/forward Jalen Williams, as well as their third-year option on guard Cason Wallace.

Ousmane Dieng, a promising young forward, has shown steady growth over the past two seasons with the Thunder, appearing in 72 games and averaging 4.5 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in just 13.0 minutes per game.

Despite limited playing time, Dieng made a major impact in the G League, where he led the Oklahoma City Blue to their first-ever G League Championship and was named the 2024 G League Finals MVP.

His performance in the G League, combined with his potential at the NBA level, has made him a key part of the Thunder’s future plans.

Chet Holmgren, another vital piece of the Thunder’s young core, earned NBA All-Rookie First Team honors last season and finished second in Rookie of the Year voting.

Holmgren played in all 82 games (all starts), averaging 16.5 points on 53.0% shooting, along with 7.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.32 blocks per game, which ranked fifth in the NBA.

His versatility made history as he became the first player ever to record 150 assists, 150 blocks, and 100 made three-pointers in a single season.

Jalen Williams, who also received NBA All-Rookie First Team honors, appeared in 71 games (all starts) and finished second on the team in scoring with 19.1 points per game.

He added 4.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.13 steals, establishing himself as one of the Thunder’s most consistent performers.

Williams has been named to the NBA Rising Stars team for two consecutive seasons and continues to be a crucial part of the Thunder’s roster.

Cason Wallace, meanwhile, had a solid rookie campaign, playing in all 82 games (13 starts) and earning NBA All-Rookie Second Team honors.

Wallace averaged 6.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 49.1% from the field and 41.9% from beyond the arc, ranking second among rookies in three-point shooting.

Ousmane Dieng’s continued development, along with the impressive performances of Holmgren, Williams, and Wallace, marks the Thunder’s growing collection of young talent, setting the foundation for the team’s future success.
