The New Orleans Pelicans have claimed Brandon Boston Jr. off waivers, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto. The 22-year-old guard will now compete for a roster spot with the Pelicans.

Boston spent the last three seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers. Last season, he averaged 5.2 points and 1.6 rebounds in just 10.8 minutes per game, indicating his ability to contribute in limited playing time.

Before joining the Pelicans, Boston signed with the San Antonio Spurs on August 8. However, he was waived by the Spurs just over two months later, leading to his availability on the waiver wire.
