Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle had a lot of great things to say about former Purdue star Zach Edey following Monday’s 120-116 preseason home loss vs. the Memphis Grizzlies (23 points/9 rebounds/1 assist/1 steal/10-15 FG/3-4 FT/+9 +/-).
(via Indiana Pacers):
“History will likely show that where he was chosen in the draft was low. He’s going to have an impact. He was drafted by an organization that believes in size and they believe in what he accomplished. 2x National Player of the Year is a big deal, it’s rare that can even happen in today’s world of college basketball. But I have great respect for what he accomplished at Purdue and have a lot of respect for what he did tonight, because he put a will and a physicality on the game that we simply did not match.”
