Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes feels grateful that he’s been able to learn from veteran leaders like former Raptor/Houston Rockets point guard Fred VanVleet and current teammate Garrett Temple.

Reporter: “Were there any vets over the last four years that you liked how they were communicators or they taught you differently?”

Barnes: “First person when I came in, obviously just see Fred. The way that he carries himself, you can just see that he’s a natural leader, was the leader of our team then. And then, just being around Garrett Temple a lot. He has so many leader qualities that he has to him, and that guy is probably going to be a coach one day. So just listen to him talk, it’s amazing. He always says the right things.”
