Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler doesn’t believe shooting a bunch of 3-pointers is the right formula for the team.

(via Miami Heat):

Ira Winderman: “This year when you look at this team, and Spo [Erik Spoelstra] spoke about it last year also: there’s a lot of two-point shots on the roster and a lot of guys (at) your sweet spot, Tyler [Herro]’s sweet spot, Bam [Adebayo]’s sweet spot, but you know that 2s don’t be 3s and the way the league is evolving. How does this team overcome that? Will Jimmy Butler be part of that solution?”

Butler: “I’m a part of every solution, but I disagree. If you shoot 100 threes and you don’t make one of them, twos can now be threes. With that being said, we’ve got a lot of guys that can score from all over the floor. I am one of them. I’m not going to go out there and jack up 1,000 threes. I don’t think anybody else is either. We’re going to play basketball the right way and we’re going to win games no matter what anybody thinks.”
