Barcelona were 91-84 winners over Real Madrid in the first instalment of this season’s el’ Clasico in week 13 of the Liga Endesa.

Justin Doellman led the victors with 17 points, helped along by Tomas Satoransky’s 16 as Barcelona are now alone in second place with a 12-1 record, while Real Madrid drop to third place after their second loss of the season.

Valencia still hold top spot and are unbeaten in the league at 13-0, but were given a scare by Tenerife, eventually coming away with an 86-82 win.

The league leaders enjoyed a double-digit lead for the majority of the contest but were pegged back by a stubborn Tenerife side, who reduced the gap to 83-81 with 38.0 seconds left, but Valencia held their nerve from the foul line to secure the win.

Bojan Dubljevic led Valencia with 16 points.

Laboral Kutxa have breathing space ahead of Gran Canaria in fourth spot after they thrashed Fuenlabrada 101-79 and Gran Canaria lost to in-form Andorra 84-77 as they stay in fifth.

Unicaja Malaga’s mini slump came to a halt after they eased past Manresa 85-58. Jamar Smith led Malaga with 23 points, which included five triples.

Joventut Badalona’s miserable run continues as they slumped to an 85-77 defeat away to Bilbao.

At the bottom and Estudiantes secured just their third win of the season as they convincingly saw-off Sevilla 102-79 in the Spanish capital.

Tony Mitchell paced Estudiantes with 15 points.

Zaragoza were easy 80-59 winners over the basement side Gipuzkoa and there was a win as well for UCAM Murcia as they triumphed 87-83 over Rio Monbus.
