Carmelo Anthony has stepped into the ongoing feud between Shaquille O’Neal and Rudy Gobert.

The New York Knicks legend urged Shaq to stop criticizing the Minnesota Timberwolves’ center.

On his podcast 7PM in Brooklyn, Anthony addressed the tension between O’Neal and Gobert, which has been brewing for some time.

Shaq reignited the dispute by calling Gobert the “WOAT” — worst of all time — among NBA players.

In response, Anthony asked O’Neal to ease up on the slander, saying, “Yo Shaq, Champ, leave Rudy the f*** alone man,” via Basketball Forever.

Anthony expressed sympathy for Gobert, suggesting that the Lakers legend should back off.

“Come on bro like stall him out man, stall the guy out, man,” Anthony added, referencing Gobert’s French heritage by saying, “Sacré bleu, and all this sh*t.”

Anthony hinted that Shaq’s frustration might stem from the younger generation not seeking his advice as often as they should.

“I wish they would [see Shaq],” Anthony said during the podcast. He elaborated that many current NBA players prefer consulting other former stars, like Tracy McGrady or himself, rather than seeking advice from O’Neal.

“Nobody is saying go see Shaq,” Anthony explained, suggesting that players find more relevance in the game of other retired stars.

Anthony noted that while Shaq has given back to the game in many ways, today’s players may not consider his style of play as applicable to the modern NBA.
