The Golden State Warriors have made a roster change, waiving two-way guard Daeqwon Plowden, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto.
Plowden had impressed in the Summer League, averaging 14.6 points and shooting 39.6% from beyond the arc.
Despite his strong showing in both Las Vegas and California, the Warriors decided to move in a different direction.
In Plowden’s place, Golden State has signed center Quinten Post to a two-way contract.
Post, the 52nd overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, comes from Boston College, where he made a significant impact.
The Dutch-born player averaged 17 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks while shooting 43.1% from three-point range during his final college season.
In recognition of his performance, Post earned Second Team All-ACC honors and was named to the ACC All-Defensive Team.
Before transferring to Boston College, Post played for Mississippi State, where his minutes were limited.
Despite receiving offers to play for top European teams like FC Barcelona and KK Mega Basket, Post chose to continue his basketball journey in the U.S.
His decision to stay paid off, leading to his eventual selection in the NBA Draft.
