Former NBA player Vlade Divac has named Nikola Jokic the best European basketball player of all time.
Divac praised Jokic’s dominance and said that the numbers and results speak for themselves.
“The numbers say so. The results confirm it. And the essence of sports is results,” Divac told index.hr when asked about Jokic’s legacy.
Jokic, a three-time MVP and 2023 NBA champion, has consistently displayed excellence on the court.
Last season, the Denver Nuggets star averaged 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 9 assists in 34.6 minutes per game. These impressive stats helped Jokic secure his third MVP award.
Divac, himself a trailblazer for European players in the NBA, believes Jokic has surpassed all European players who came before him.
Jokic’s combination of size, skill, and basketball IQ has made him one of the most versatile players in the league.
