The Utah Jazz have officially signed guard Max Abmas. Per team policy, the terms of the deal have not been released.

Abmas, a 6-foot guard from Texas, played four seasons at Oral Roberts before finishing his collegiate career at Texas.

During the 2023-24 season at Texas, Abmas averaged 16.8 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.1 rebounds in 34 games.

He earned All-Big 12 Second Team and All-Big 12 Newcomer Team honors for his impressive performance.

Abmas was also recognized for his academic achievements, being named the 2023-24 Men’s Basketball Academic All-America Team Member of the Year.

The Rockwall, Texas native played 123 games for Oral Roberts, where he averaged 20.8 points per game.

He led the NCAA in scoring during the 2020-21 season, averaging 24.5 points per game.

Abmas was named Summit League Player of the Year twice, in 2021 and 2023, and was a three-time All-Summit League First Team selection.

Over his collegiate career, Abmas totaled 3,131 points, ranking eighth in NCAA Division I men’s basketball history.
