On Tuesday, the San Antonio Spurs unveiled several significant changes to their coaching and management staff in a press release. The team announced the hiring of Mike Noyes as an assistant coach and director of player development.
Noyes joins the Spurs after spending the past six seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies, where he most recently served as a player development coach.
In addition to Noyes’s hiring, the Spurs have promoted Josh Larson to general manager of the Austin Spurs, their NBA G League affiliate. Larson, who has been with the Spurs organization since 2019, is stepping into this new role after proving his capabilities and dedication to the team.
The Spurs also announced the promotion of former NBA big man Gorgui Dieng to assistant general manager of the Austin Spurs. Dieng, who joined the organization in 2023 following his retirement as a player, will now contribute to the team’s front office in a significant capacity.
These moves reflect the Spurs’ commitment to strengthening their coaching and management teams, with an emphasis on player development and organizational growth.
