Former Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan recently opened up about his close relationship with his former teammate, Alex Caruso.
In a conversation on Podcast P with Paul George, DeRozan expressed how much he values his bond with Caruso, calling him one of his all-time favorite teammates.
“One thing I really appreciate about my time in Chicago was definitely my teammates,” DeRozan said, via ClutchPoints.
He praised several former teammates, including Coby White, Patrick Williams, Nikola Vucevic, Zach LaVine, and Lonzo Ball, but reserved special praise for Caruso.
“My dog AC. That’s my favorite,” DeRozan stated with enthusiasm.
The bond between DeRozan and Caruso, who played together for three years in Chicago, has grown strong over time.
Caruso, known for his defensive intensity and hustle, clearly left a lasting impression on DeRozan during their time together.
“I gotta put this out here,” DeRozan added. “Caruso is probably my top 3 favorite teammates of all time.”
DeRozan didn’t hold back when expressing his affection for Caruso, emphasizing the respect and love he has for his former teammate.
“I love that dude man. I love… I love AC man. He knows. He knows how I greet him every time. That’s my dog,” DeRozan continued.
DeRozan’s comments came after he joined the Sacramento Kings in a trade this offseason, but his connection to his former Bulls teammates, especially Caruso, remains strong.
Despite moving on to a new chapter in his career, DeRozan made it clear that his bond with Caruso is something he cherishes deeply.
Caruso, a fan favorite in Chicago, has built a reputation for being a tenacious defender and a key contributor for the Bulls.
