Amid speculation of a Chicago Bulls roster overhaul, Lakers insider Jovan Buha hints at the Lakers targeting Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, or the fan-favorite Alex Caruso in a potential trade scenario.
“I think there’s gonna be a Chicago fire sale. So, Alex Caruso is obviously a Laker favorite, but Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan — those have been two guys the Lakers have been interested in for several seasons now,” the insider said, via Jesse Cinquini of Lakers Daily.
Buha sees the Lakers actively engaging with Chicago in a potential pursuit of these coveted players.
He suggests the Lakers might make a move during the trade deadline or sooner, depending on when Chicago decides to initiate a roster shake-up.
The Bulls, reportedly open to exploring trades for LaVine, may provide the Lakers with an opportunity to acquire key talents like LaVine or DeRozan, who have been on the Lakers’ radar for several seasons.
Buha emphasized, “I think if Chicago has a fire sale, I think the Lakers are gonna be calling them and trying to get in that mix.”
