DeMarcus Cousins recently revealed that he would consider an NBA comeback if the right offer is made.
In a recent interview on the Club 520 podcast, Cousins shared his perspective on returning to the league after 12 seasons.
Cousins, a four-time NBA All-Star, made it clear that he is no longer actively pursuing teams or trying to convince them of his value.
“If an opportunity comes that makes sense, I’ll consider it,” Cousins said, emphasizing his stance on an NBA return.
He expressed frustration with the lack of understanding from teams about what he brings to the floor.
“You know what I bring to the floor. It’s been proven,” he added, noting that teams should take the time to evaluate his capabilities instead of relying on external opinions.
Cousins also mentioned that he is done trying to persuade teams to sign him and will only consider returning if the offer aligns with his standards.
He has recently transitioned to playing 3×3 basketball, joining the Chinese team Wuxi WenLv.
Cousins’ move to China was seen as a step away from the NBA, but his recent comments suggest that he has not completely closed the door on the league.
However, Cousins stressed that he is not going to reach out to teams anymore and is content with his current path unless a compelling offer comes along.
