DeMarcus Cousins, a four-time NBA All-Star and Olympic Gold Medalist, has officially joined the 3×3 basketball World Tour team Wuxi WenLv.
The Chinese team, currently ranked 27th in the World Tour standings, will benefit from Cousins’ experience and skillset until the end of the season.
Cousins’ decision to join Wuxi WenLv marks a significant step in his career as he transitions from the NBA to the fast-paced, half-court style of 3×3 basketball.
The World Tour, launched in 2012, features teams representing cities worldwide and involves a series of Masters and a Final through a global network of qualifying tournaments.
Wuxi WenLv has a new roster this season, consisting of Vuk Borovicanin, Jianghe Chen, Haoran Huang, Andrew Kelly, and YuXuan Liu. The addition of Cousins could potentially boost their standings as they compete in the remaining events of the season.
The team is set to participate in several key tournaments, including events in Debrecen, Shanghai, Wuxi, Amsterdam, Macau, Abu Dhabi, Manama, Neom, and Shenzhen.
With Cousins on board, Wuxi WenLv aims to climb higher in the rankings and make a strong push in the upcoming competitions.
As Cousins joins Wuxi WenLv, the basketball world will be watching closely to see how the former NBA star adapts to the 3×3 format and impacts his new team’s performance.
