The Sacramento Kings have promoted Jay Triano to associate head coach. This change was confirmed by Kings insider Sean Cunningham via X

Triano has been an integral part of Sacramento’s coaching staff since joining the organization in 2022 and will now take on a more prominent role. He previously served as an assistant coach under head coach Mike Brown.

The promotion comes as part of a broader restructuring of the Kings’ coaching staff. Along with Triano’s promotion, Jawad Williams has been elevated to assistant coach and director of player development.

Triano brings years of NBA experience, having previously served as a head coach for the Toronto Raptors and as an assistant coach for several other teams.

Riccardo Fois and Jim Moran have also been named assistant coaches in this new coaching structure.

Additionally, Charles Allen has been promoted to player development coach. The Kings have also made adjustments in their video coordination team, with Dipesh Mistry taking on the role of head video coordinator and development coach.
