Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson II is set to undergo surgery after suffering a foot injury on August 27.
Jackson II experienced an unstable landing on his right foot while attempting a contested layup during a game outside Dallas. Subsequent imaging revealed a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot.
The 19-year-old rookie will have surgery on Wednesday, September 4. The Grizzlies will provide an update following the procedure.
Last season, Jackson averaged 14.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 25.7 minutes per game.
