Russell Westbrook denies Christian Braun refused to give up number 0

Denver Nuggets newcomer Russell Westbrook denied that Christian Braun refused to give him the number 0 jersey.

Westbrook addressed the rumors on his Instagram story, stating, “Let’s please leave our young star alone. CB and I never discussed him passing along the number 0.”

The former MVP clarified that he never requested the number 0, adding, “I didn’t want, inquire about, or request the number 0 because I chose to mark this new change with a ‘new’ number.”

Westbrook urged fans to stop spreading false stories, emphasizing, “The excitement of the new season has already begun, and unfortunately I know that means the offload of many false stories. Not today!”

He explained that neither he nor Braun discussed the jersey number, dismissing the notion that Braun refused his request.
