Lonzo Ball hasn’t played in an NBA game in 942 days, but the former 2nd overall pick says he plans to return this upcoming season.
Ball, who was a star at UCLA before being drafted by the Lakers in 2017, has struggled with injuries, including a serious knee issue, that has kept him off the court since January 2022.
However, when TMZ Sports caught up with him at LAX, he had encouraging news for Chicago Bulls fans.
“[Recovery’s] going well,” said the guard.
When asked if he’d be ready for the new season, Ball confidently replied, “[Fans can expect] me back on the court. That’s all I want to do.”
