Damian Lillard recently revealed his current favorite players in the NBA during an appearance on the Club 520 podcast.
The Milwaukee Bucks star named Anthony Edwards, Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, and teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo as his top picks.
Lillard praised Edwards for his authentic energy and skill, calling him a player with both swag and game.
“I’m gonna go with Anthony Edwards. I think everybody is super high on him right now but I like him because of his energy, like the swag about him is authentic, and he got the game to go with it,” he said, via HoopsHype.
Despite the recent controversies surrounding Morant, Lillard acknowledged Morant’s talent, stating that he still recognizes greatness when he sees it.
“I’m gonna go with Ja Morant. He got into some trouble so I think people kind of turned off to him a little bit but I mean I know what I’m looking at,” the 8-time All-Star said.
Doncic also made the list, with Lillard including the Dallas Mavericks star without hesitation.
Lillard further named Jokic, the three-time MVP, emphasizing his impact on the game.
Finally, Lillard mentioned Giannis, rounding out his current favorites in the league.
