Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards made a bold statement regarding previous eras of basketball.

In a recent interview with Lane Florsheim of The Wall Street Journal, Edwards shared his thoughts on how the current generation of players compares to those of the past.

When asked about the differences between today’s game and older generations, Edwards said he didn’t watch basketball “back in the day,” so he couldn’t speak on it directly.

However, he asserted that, in his view, players from earlier eras lacked the skill level seen in today’s game.

Edwards specifically singled out Michael Jordan as the only player from the past who “really had skill.”

He explained that Jordan’s skill set was so exceptional that when people saw Kobe Bryant, they were similarly amazed.

Edwards believes that the modern era is characterized by widespread skill among players, unlike in previous generations.

This comment reflects a growing sentiment among some younger players who view the current NBA as more skilled.

Edwards’ remarks are likely to spark debate among fans and analysts who often compare different basketball eras.
