Grant Hill has confirmed that Jaylen Brown will be a candidate for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Hill, the USA Basketball National Team Managing Director, mentioned this during an interview with Rachel Nichols on All The Smoke’s Open Run.
Brown was not included in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games team, despite being viewed as a top contender after Kawhi Leonard’s removal.
Instead, Hill selected Derrick White, a decision that generated some controversy within the basketball community.
Hill assured that he is open to discussing future opportunities with Brown, emphasizing that the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles is a prime opportunity.
“We’ll definitely sit down and talk about it and get to some level of understanding,” Hill stated.
He expressed confidence in welcoming Brown to the team if he is interested, stating, “Oh yeah.”
Hill highlighted that his role is focused on team success and future planning, rather than personal grievances.
As the focus shifts to future Olympic cycles, Hill remains committed to assembling a competitive team for the Los Angeles Games.
