The New York Knicks have agreed to a deal with Chuma Okeke.
According to NBA insider Michael Scotto, Okeke will join the Knicks after spending four seasons with the Orlando Magic.
The 25-year-old forward averaged 6.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in 20.3 minutes per game with Orlando.
Last season, Okeke saw the fewest minutes of his NBA career, averaging just 9.2 minutes per game.
His performance dropped to a career-low 2.3 points and 1.7 rebounds during that time.
The former 16th pick of the 2019 NBA Draft is considered to have significant untapped potential.
Okeke’s move to New York marks a fresh start for the player.
The Knicks hope that Okeke’s development will be rekindled with a new team environment.
