USA improved to 2-0 in Group C and advanced to the Paris 2024 men’s basketball tournament quarter-finals thanks to a comfortable 103-86 win over South Sudan.

After playing South Sudan in an exhibition game in London earlier in the month and needing LeBron James to sneak them over the line in a 101-100 win, the second contest was billed as intriguing, with both teams securing wins in their openers.

But that was quickly snuffed out, as the USA limited Carlik Jones’ production, and as a result, the African side’s offensive production suffered; with the offensive firepower that Steve Kerr’s side has, zoomed ahead and never looked back.

Bam Adebayo led six USA players with 18 points on 8/10 shooting, with Kevin Durant getting 14.

Serbia bounced back from their opening game loss by leading from tip to buzzer in their 107-66 hammering of Puerto Rico in the other Group C game.

Serbia shot an impressive 58% from the floor as Filip Petrusev led Serbia with 18 points. Nikola Jokic was one assist shy of the fourth Olympic triple-double with 14 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists.
