Chicago Bulls forward Patrick Williams has expressed high praise for the team’s rookie, Matas Buzelis, the No. 11 pick in the recent NBA draft.
“What can’t he do? He’s young. But he can shoot the ball, change direction. Can guard 1 through 5. He’s a dog, talking trash already. I love what I’m seeing,” Williams remarked about Buzelis in a statement to K.C. Johnson.
Buzelis showcased his potential in his Summer League debut, contributing 15 points and 7 rebounds as the Bulls triumphed over the Milwaukee Bucks 96-89 in Las Vegas.
“Honestly, I was pretty sloppy today. I can play a lot better,” Buzelis assessed his performance post-game.
Williams’ endorsement underscores Buzelis’ versatility and potential impact for the Bulls, highlighting his ability to score, defend multiple positions, and contribute energetically on the court.
Buzelis, known for his scoring prowess and defensive tenacity, continues to garner attention as he adapts to the NBA environment during the Summer League.
The American-born Lithuanian forward’s performance against the Bucks suggests promising developments for the Bulls’ future roster depth.
