Luka Doncic reacted with frustration after fouling out in the Dallas Mavericks’ Game 3 loss to the Boston Celtics, putting his team on the brink of a sweep.

Doncic scored 27 points in the game but had to leave with four minutes left in the fourth quarter.

The Mavericks were trailing by just three points when the Slovenian superstar picked up his sixth foul, a rare occurrence in his career. This game marked only the third time Doncic has fouled out in the NBA.

After the game, Doncic expressed his disappointment, stating, “I mean, I don’t know. We couldn’t play physical.”

Doncic was visibly frustrated with the officiating, especially picking up three fouls in the fourth quarter alone.

He added, “I don’t want to say nothing, but six fouls in the NBA Finals where basically I’m like this [gestures with hands apart], come on, man.”

Doncic’s absence in the crucial final minutes hampered the Mavericks’ chances of a comeback. The loss puts Dallas down 0-3 in the series, a deficit no team has ever overcome in NBA history.

The Mavericks will now face an uphill battle to avoid a sweep and extend the series.
