The Phoenix Suns are poised to re-sign Royce O’Neale this offseason. O’Neale, acquired from the Brooklyn Nets at the trade deadline, is expected to remain with the Suns.
NBA insider Brian Windhorst confirmed the news on The Hoop Collective Podcast. He stated that O’Neale’s re-signing is imminent.
“They’re going to re-sign Royce O’Neale. That’s going to get done,” he said, via RealGM.
The Suns made a significant move to acquire O’Neale, sending out three second-round picks in a three-team trade.
O’Neale’s contributions to the Suns have been notable. In the past season, he averaged 8.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
O’Neale was on a four-year, $36 million contract. Re-signing him is seen as a strategic move for the Suns.
