Lonzo Ball, the Chicago Bulls guard, has offered an update on his injury status, revealing that he’s at about 70 percent recovery but feels good enough to return to play.
Ball shared the update on his new podcast, “What an Experience,” acknowledging the progress in his recovery while expressing a desire for further improvement.
“It’s improving, so that’s all I can ask for. Still not where I want it to be. Out of 100 (percent), I’d say I’m about 70 (percent). Good enough to play, but it could still get better. I still got a long summer ahead of me. But definitely looking forward to the future,” Ball said, per Ryan Taylor of NBC Sports Chicago.
The guard has faced a challenging journey with injuries, missing two and a half NBA seasons due to knee issues.
During the 2022-23 season, Ball underwent surgery and rehabilitation for a meniscus tear in his left knee, followed by arthroscopic debridement to address recurring discomfort.
Despite setbacks, Ball remains focused on his recovery and looks forward to returning to action.
With the final year of his four-year, $80 million contract approaching, Bulls fans anticipate Ball’s return to the court for the 2024-25 season.
