Euroleague BasketballThree teams took three out of four remaining ticktets to the Top 16 on Wednesday. Polish champions Asseco Prokom won only two games during the regular season and that was enough to finish 4th in Group B. They will be in Top 16 despite losing their last game against Panathinaikos 53-75.

The other two games in Group B were desparate fights for a place in the next round. Both Zalgiris and Nancy could have progressed only by winning against a clear favourites and also expecting a positive results on the other courts.

That didn't happen as Zalgiris lost away to Barcelona 68-90. Twelwe players appeared on the court for Barca and 11 of them scored points.

Nancy hosted Montepaschi in France hoping to defeat their rivals with the support of their home crowd. It wasn't even close as the visitors took control right from start and enjoyed a comfortable 18-point lead at the half time. Another big win for the Italians 103-79.

In Group D there were two spots availble with four teams having at least theoretical chances to go through.

Partizan visited CSKA Moscow and once again showed a great fighting spirit. Serbian club celebrated a win in Russia in a low scoring game 66-63.

Efes Pilsen had a tough task ahead of them in Madrid as they needed a win against Real Madrid. The hosts weren't so hospitable and didn't let the Turkish side come away with a win. Spanish gianst won 80-69 and sealed second place in Group D.

The other ticket to the Top 16 went to Armani Jeans Milano as they defeated Greek side Panionios 77-87.
