Following his commanding 36-point performance against the Detroit Pistons, Zion Williamson reiterated the New Orleans Pelicans’ primary objective: winning games.

Sitting in fifth place, the Pelicans are locked in a tight race for playoff seeding, emphasizing the importance of each remaining game.

Williamson stated, “My answer is always gonna be the same… I want to win. The coaches, my teammates, the organization, we all have the same mindset. We just want to win.”

With only 11 games left in the regular season, Williamson emphasized the team’s collective mindset centered on securing victories.

“If we can get (fourth place), that would be great,” Williamson allowed. “It would be great for the city and great for the team. But you got to play the cards dealt to you. Wherever we land in the standings, we are going to make the most of it.”

This season Williamson, who has been available for 59 regular season games so far, is averaging 22.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5 assists in 30.9 minutes per game.
