As the regular season nears its conclusion, the Los Angeles Lakers, led by LeBron James, maintain a pragmatic approach to their playoff positioning.

Currently occupying the ninth spot in the Western Conference, the Lakers remain three games behind the sixth-placed Dallas Mavericks, with playoff qualification hanging in the balance.

After recent win over the Philadelphia 76ers, James addressed the team’s mindset, emphasizing their focus on game-by-game performance rather than fixating on playoff seedings.

“At the end of the day, we’re not really focused on seeding,” James said postgame, via Dan Woike of Los Angeles Times. “We’re just focused on what we can control. We can’t control the seedings if other teams are playing too well still. What you can control is go out and play and try to win as many games as you can and see where you land.”

The Lakers’ have been making a push as of late, going 7-4 in their last 11 games.
