Surpassing Nick Van Exel’s single-season 3-point record, Russell’s 184th triple marks a significant milestone in Lakers franchise history.
Reflecting on his accomplishment, Russell emphasized the honor of contributing to such a storied and prestigious franchise like the Lakers.
“It just feels good to be part of one of these type of deals. This franchise is one of the most prestigious, so to have my name just to be a part of it, I’m more than grateful. Blessed beyond measure. Just want to keep continuing to shatter if I can make it really hard for the next person,” Russell said postgame.
