Following a heated exchange during the Houston Rockets’ (34-35) victory over the Chicago Bulls (34-36), DeMar DeRozan addressed the altercation with Dillon Brooks.

During a pivotal moment in the third quarter, tempers flared when DeRozan’s foul on Jalen Green sparked a confrontation with Brooks, ultimately resulting in ejections for both players.

In a postgame statement, DeRozan expressed remorse for the incident, acknowledging that he apologized to his teammates, but defended his actions.

“I don’t play the walking up on somebody when their back is turned. Nah, that’s just not a thing we do. I just felt like it’s an issue walking up on any man from behind,” DeRozan said, per Joe Cowley.
