Zalgiris might have just found a solution to their financial problems. Ukrainian billionaire Igor Kolomoysky should invest in Lithuanian champions. Kolomoysky is a co-owner of the Privat Bank. His property is worth around 3.3 billion dollars.
The negotiations are in progress. If the deal comes through, Zalgiris should receive from 2 to 5 million dollars. Gediminas Navikauskas, former vice president of Zalgiris, said that this will not a support for the club but an investition which will pay off.
Kolomoysky is in control of three Ukrainian football clubs – Dinamo Kiev, Dnipro and Krivbas.
