The Sacramento Kings (38-27) asserted their dominance with a convincing 120-107 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers (36-31) on Wednesday night, led by Domantas Sabonis’ triple-double performance.

Sabonis finished the game with 17 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 assists. Harrison Barnes ignited the Kings’ offense with a stellar shooting display, knocking down seven 3-pointers en route to 23 points, while De’Aaron Fox and Keegan Murray contributed 21 and 19 points, respectively, as all five starters scored in double figures.

The victory marks Sacramento’s seventh win in their last eight matchups against the Lakers, including a clean sweep of the season series.

In a heated battle for playoff positioning, the Kings pulled even with the Phoenix Suns for sixth place in the Western Conference, establishing a three-game lead over the ninth-seeded Lakers.

Austin Reaves led the Lakers in scoring with 28 points, making seven three-pointers. He also had six rebounds and four assists.

Despite a valiant effort from the Lakers’ duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James, who combined for 40 points and 23 rebounds, the Kings’ balanced attack and stout defense proved too much to handle.

Although the Lakers mounted a brief comeback in the fourth quarter, consecutive 3-pointers from Barnes and Malik Monk extinguished any hopes of a late rally, securing the Kings’ comfortable victory.
