De’Aaron Fox dropped 44 points as the Sacramento Kings (35-26) rallied to a 130-120 win over the Los Angeles Lakers (34-30) on Wednesday night.

Ex-Laker Malik Monk contributed 26 points, while Domantas Sabonis secured his 22nd triple-double of the season with 16 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists.

LeBron James led the Lakers with 31 points and 13 assists, but his efforts were not enough to thwart Sacramento’s relentless comeback.

With this win, the Kings maintain their seventh-place position in the competitive Western Conference, inching closer to securing a playoff spot without the need for the play-in tournament.

Sacramento staged a 21-3 run in the second quarter to come back from being down 11 points to taking control of the game.

Despite a late surge from the Lakers, led by Rui Hachimura’s 29 points, Sacramento maintained their composure and never allowed their lead to slip into single digits.
