Mac McClung, the two-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion, displayed humility when compared to the legendary dunker Vince Carter in a recent interview.

Former player Chandler Parsons posed the hypothetical question to McClung, asking who would win in a dunk contest between him in his prime and prime Carter.

In response, McClung graciously acknowledged Carter’s unparalleled prowess in dunking, admitting that the comparison wasn’t even close.

During an appearance on FanDuelTV’s Run It Back, McClung emphasized Carter’s dominance in dunking contests, conceding that Carter would undoubtedly emerge victorious in such a matchup.

“It’s not even close, that’s Vince all day, don’t even do that to me,” McClung said.

The comparison between McClung and Carter, although flattering to McClung, highlights the enduring legacy of Carter as one of the greatest dunkers in NBA history.

Carter, famously known as “Vinsanity,” revolutionized the art of dunking with his unparalleled athleticism and creativity during his illustrious NBA career.

Throughout his career, Carter wowed fans with his gravity-defying dunks, earning him the nickname “Half Man, Half Amazing” and solidifying his status as a basketball icon.

While McClung’s back-to-back victories in the Slam Dunk Contest demonstrate his own dunking abilities, he acknowledges the vast disparity between his skills and those of a prime Carter.
