Former NBA player and current analyst Kendrick Perkins stirred up anticipation during a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, asserting that the Los Angeles Lakers have a third superstar set to join their ranks in the upcoming offseason.

Perkins made the bold declaration, hinting at a significant roster upgrade for the Lakers, while refraining from disclosing the identity of the purported superstar bound for Los Angeles.

“The Lakers need to stand pat, get through this season, have a run because another superstar is on the way this summer,” Perkins said.

Despite keeping the player’s name under wraps, Perkins emphasized the trust placed in him to withhold the confidential information.

“Now, I can’t reveal who that superstar is… they trust me not to air this information out on who this player is going to be. But if the Lakers just stand pat, they have another superstar on the way this offseason. Then we can revisit this conversation next year.”

With speculation swirling around the Lakers’ potential roster moves, Perkins asserted the inevitability of another superstar aligning with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

“This superstar is actually the perfect fit not only for LeBron but it’s a match made in heaven for Anthony Davis,” Perkins added later. “It’s going to happen,” he affirmed.
