As the trade deadline frenzy intensifies, the New York Knicks have orchestrated a blockbuster deal with the Detroit Pistons, acquiring Alec Burks and Bojan Bogdanovic in exchange for Quentin Grimes, Evan Fournier, and Malachi Flynn, along with two second-round picks.

NBA insider Shams Charania broke the news, revealing the comprehensive trade package that sees the Knicks bolster their roster with seasoned talent from the Pistons.

Burks, a 32-year-old guard on an expiring three-year, $30 million contract, brings valuable scoring and playmaking abilities to the Knicks, averaging 12.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game this season.

Bogdanovic, a 34-year-old forward with one more partially guaranteed year left on his two-year, $39 million contract. The Croatian forward adds significant offensive firepower to the Knicks, averaging 20.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.

In exchange, the Pistons receive a package headlined by Grimes, a promising 23-year-old guard who has shown potential during his time with the Knicks, averaging 7.3 points, 2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.

Grimes, with one more year left on his four-year, $11.1 million contract, represents a young talent with room for growth, offering the Pistons a valuable asset to bolster their roster for the future.

Fournier, frustrated with limited opportunities in New York, moves to Detroit after appearing in just three games this season, posting averages of 4 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1 assist in 13 minutes per game. Fournier has one more year left on his four-year, $73 million contract, with the final year being a team option.

Flynn, a 25-year-old point guard, also joins the Pistons as part of the trade. Flynn appeared sparingly for the Knicks, averaging 4.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 4.4 minutes per game. He is set to become a restricted free agent in the summer.
