As the trade deadline approaches, the Los Angeles Lakers are eyeing roster improvements, with Atlanta Hawks’ guard Dejounte Murray emerging as a top target.

Reports indicate that the Lakers are considering a trade, but the Hawks are not interested in D’Angelo Russell; instead, they prefer Austin Reaves.

Following Reaves’ standout performance, scoring a season-high 32 points in a victory over the Boston Celtics, sports analyst Skip Bayless weighed in on the potential trade, asserting that Reaves holds more value than Murray.

Bayless highlighted Reaves’ remarkable performance, especially considering the absence of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, as the Lakers secured a victory on the road against the top team in the Eastern Conference.

In a tweet, Bayless expressed his disbelief at the idea of giving up Reaves for Murray, emphasizing Reaves’ fearless and effective play, scoring 32 points with 7-10 three-pointers and no turnovers against Boston.

“And the Lakers should or even would consider giving up Austin Reaves for Dejounte Murray??? STOP IT. AR just scored 32 at Boston on 7-10 threes WITHOUT A TURNOVER. Doesn’t play D like Dejounte, but more valuable. Just knows how to play, fearlessly,” Bayless tweeted.
